Characteristic:
Tungsten-molybdenum high speed steel, better performance of hardness, red hardness, thermoplasticity, machinability than W6Mo5Cr4V2 . Weak in impact toughness and intensity
Anneal temperature: 840-860
Relief annealing temperature: 720-760
Hardening temperature: 1200-1235
Hardening medium: salt bath under 600,aslo use oil cooling or air cooling
Normal temper temperation: 540-560
RC Rockwell Hardness after hardening and temper: 64-67
Application:
1.Heavy-duty milling cutters of all kinds, highly stressed twist drills and taps, profiled cutting blades, machining of high-strength materials, broaches.
2.The Co content of this tough, high-performance, high-speed steel grade, which offers good cutting-edge endurance, results in high red hardness and resistance to tempering.
3.Consequently, this steel grade is particularly suitable when thermal stresses and discontinuous cutting are involved
